| About Orono | ||
| Orono is the home of the University of Maine. It is surrounded by the Stillwater and the Penobscot Rivers, which present canoeing, kayaking and bass fishing opportunities. It is around one hour's drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It is also close to south Portland and Boston. In fact, there is convient bus transportation between Orono and Boston. | How to find us | ||
| The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is located in
the Barrows Hall. Below please find a local map of Orono. Take
Exit 193 on I-95, the Old Town/Stillwater Ave. exit. Go
east (right) toward Old Town on Stillwater Ave. (bear right from
the northbound exit, turn left over the bridge from the southbound exit).
Go to the third traffic light and turn right on
to College Ave (U.S Route 2A). Go approximately one mile down College
Ave. and turn left into the University of Maine
by the Alfond Arena. Bear right around the fieldhouse and follow the road
to Barrows Hall. You can also find a portion
