Professor John Field

 


 

Dr. Field holds the Henry R. & Grace V. Butler Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has been with the University of Maine for over 30 years and was Chair of the ECE Department for 12 years. He is the co-author of a John Wiley text, Microprogramming and Computer Architecture. He has been co-director of a Young Scholars Program for a number of years. The purpose of the program is to encourage high school students to consider engineering as a career. Dr. Field is a member of IEEE, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi and Phi Kappa Phi.
