Homework, Labs, Project -- 60%

Midterm (about Feb. 28) -- 20%

Final (Comprehensive) -- 20%

There will be no make-ups for missed exams. Plan to be there.

Late work -- 10% per day.
Approximate Course Outline:
This course will focus on machine intelligence and the use of
sensory information by autonomous devices. Topics are expected to
include

Sensing devices -- range, proximity, touch, force/torque

Computer vision

Robot programming languages

Robot intelligence and task planning

Object modeling

The use of sensory information for object detection, recognition, location,
and inspection

Neural networks

Fuzzy logic

Genetic algorithms
Tests: The test date given above are approximate. Tests will be
closed book. Calculators will not be allowed.
