A project for ECE 547 "VLSI Design"
Spring Semester 2008 at the
Electrical Engineering Dept. of the
University of Maine
designed by
Christopher Wilson
This chip contains a pair of IR receiver demodulators. Each IR Demodulator contains a Transimpedance Amplifier, a Band Pass Filter, Amplifier, and Schmitt Trigger. The function will be to take a modulated IR signal, and process it for what a PIC chip can interpret. There are two, such that two signals operating at two carrier frequencies can be processed or have the chip act as a bridge with a PIC processing the data handling.
The project report contains a description of the project and details of the design and layout.
The project report contains a description of the original ECE 403 project and details of the design and schematics. Title Page and Contents of ECE 403 report
