For the 2009-2010 academic year, UMaine Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, will be eligible for a $7,500 academic scholarship. The scholarships can be combined with other forms of financial aid. Students must demonstrate interest in the microelectronics/semiconductor industry through participation in co-op work experiences, taking elective courses from the microelectronics concentration, and membership/involvement in student activities that provide service to the profession (e.g. the student chapters of professional organizations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).

First-year students entering the University of Maine are awarded a $1,500 academic scholarship and must demonstrate academic promise and the potential to become active members of the microelectronics/semiconductor industry through work experience, course selection, and participation in professional organizations.
