The Most Outstanding ECE Student
Priyanth Chandrasekar has been selected as the 2007 Most Outstanding Electrical or Computer Engineering student in the nation by Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Honor Society. This is the second UMaine student to have achieved this prestigious award in the last four years (Matthew Rodrigue in 2004). In the 42-year history of this award, 49 students have been selected of which 3 are UMaine graduates (Louise Veilleaux in 1979). This represents the highest number of awards given to any school. There are only two other schools with the same number of awards, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and University of California Berkeley!
